Today has been eventful already, I have been setting up a school fete since 8am and have just found 20 minutes to sit at a PC and write this blog.
the one thing about carrying 30 tables and 90 chairs taught me this morning was that the heavier the weight of what you are carrying can slow you down, I found it infinitely easier to carry 4 chairs than 6, using that information I have now selected Excessable in the Super Sprint at Newbury, his main rivals Great Page and Soapy Aitken are significantly higher in the weights (weights allotted by sales price as a yearling) and although they have slightly better form I had Excessable down as a 2/1 shot earlier in the week and cannot believe he is now an 11/4 chance.
Still at Newbury Consort should be too good for his rivals in the JLT stakes at 2.35, he will appreciate the step up to a mile and a quarter and could be a group one horse by the end of the year and the even money will look silly.
The last tip of today is Little Lady Katie Each way in the 2.00, she has been running well of this mark or thereabouts all year and can make up for her disqualification last time by grabbing some prize money here.
